Five tracks from 2010 made in series. I was into Witch House at the time. Hell, I even saw White Ring at The Knitting Factory and briefly schmoozed with them about Reason versus Ableton. Witch House also got me to finally “get” DJ Screw. I had tried to get into Screw in the past, with mixed results, but now strongly felt his appeal. I’d credit much of my “chopping” technique, that I still use to this day, to Screw’s influence.
In 2010, I got personal with a Yamaha QY70. All I used was an M-Audio Oxygen 8 v2 to record sequences and beats. After this recording I eventually got a RS7000 and retired my QY70 for the sake of my sanity!
Finally, also around this time I bought a Behringer Tweakalizer after learning about it from the comments section of a website. Much of the the EQ and filter sweeps across the EP were made with the Tweakalizer.
